Recap: Our Start-Up Workshop at the IFB Evolving Influence Conference - Day 2

IFB Blogger Startup Workshop

Brooke Moreland of Fashism.com and Pamela Castillo of Market Publique, teaching a workshop at the IFB Evolving Influence Conference.

The IFB Evolving Influence conference was bigger than ever, and we were honored to be part of it.  We taught a workshop about how to start your own business, alongside Fashism Co-Founder Brooke Moreland.

We spoke about everything from idea to product development, team, hudles, execution, and more, and to an intimate group of bloggers and aspiring entrepreneurs gathered at Le Bain at the Standard Hotel. If you want to see the slides from our presentation, you can dowload a pdf here.

For now, enjoy a few snaps from the event.

And if you missed the New York panel, we will be speaking at the Texas Style Council conference this Sunday in Austin, TX.

I will be on the Careers panel at 2:30 with some fabulous ladies:

2:30- 3:15: Panel 2- CAREERS: Beyond the Blog (using your site to sell your goods or launch a new career)
Panelists:
Kendra (DBA)
Nora (Burdastyle)
Brooke (Fashism)
Pamela (Market Publique)

Recap: The Lucky Fashion and Beauty Blogger Conference

 Lucky Magazine

Photo courtesy of guestofaguest.com - See the full set here.

I attended the Lucky Magazine Fashion and Beauty Bloggers Conference last Tuesday, and it was not only a lot of fun, but also very informative!

I got to meet tons of my favorite bloggers, and was even lucky enough to be sitting next to the rad Karen of wheredidugetthat.com, with whom I bonded about leather tees from H&M. I also met Taylor Sterling, one of the front runners in our Time After Time contest, who is the sweetest and had the most awesome pink dress with a triangle print.

Plus, it's always good to see the familiar faces, some whom I hadn't seen in ages due to months of hibernation, hard work and travel (not to self - get off the computer more often!). I already made a date with Christine of My Style Pill & Audrey of Homerun Ballerina to ensure that does not happen again!

There were WAY too many lovely ladies (and a couple guys - @mm_modman & @johnjannuzzi, who were at my table!!) I met and hugged and chatted with for me to mention them all, especially with my current sleep-deprived memory situation (hey girlies, I don't love you any less, k?).

Scroll below for more of the awesome people I got to hang out with, aided with photo memories from Guest of a Guest and StyleActivist (whom I met at IFB - she's insanely cute!!! - more on IFB in a later post, promise!

Jenna Lyons at the Lucky FABB Conference

Lucky Magazine's Brandon Holley in conversation with J.Crew's Jenna Lyons. It's pretty safe to say the whole room had a girl crush on Lyons, including I, who have been pining for her living room ever since I saw it in an issue of Domino Magazine.

Jen Loves Kev and Punky Style

I finally men Jen and Amy of Jen Loves Kev and Punky Style!!! SO cool.

Cubicle Chic

And Meredith from Cubicle Chic, which whom we've tried to meet via Sammy Davis millions of times, but somehow hadn't!

Market Publique, ASOS.com, Fashism

I finally learned how to say ASOS outloud (aye-sauce? hehehe) and drank some bubbly with Brooke of Fashism, with whom we're teaching a workshop TODAY at IFB (come by!).

Pamela Castillo, Co-Founder of Market Publique
