Summer may be over, but that doesn't mean we want to stop wearing Florals. In fact, they are the perfect transitional piece - pair with tights once it gets warmer, or just throw on a denim jacket if it's slightly chilly.
We are really into sheer florals because they are just so romantic, girly and fun - the perfect counterbalance for distressed denim, leather or studs!
Here are our favorite sheer floral pieces on Market Publique right now, clockwise from top left:
Floral madness up in the MP store! Floral is on trend, we all love it and I think it secretly brings us all back to the 90s.....and we love that to. Below are 7 hot, floral items that could be yours right here in the MP shop! Enjoy and happy shopping!
I don't know about you guys but Summer 2012 is the Summer of the Dress. It's hot, it may be humid where you live or it may be dry but what we all have in common is we want to be as cool and comfortable as possible….this is where the Summer of the dress comes in. Dresses are light and airy, cool and comfortable aka perfect for the heat. I've put together a dress round up of all my faves on MP and I've also included a few cocktail/evening dresses for those fun Summer parties. Enjoy and stay cool!
Sometimes you have to get out of the house quickly, but still look great. Ok, that's actually most of the time. When that happens, we like to remix some wardrobe staples into fool-proof outfits.
For example, the easy vintage floral dress - unique & classic, yet fun and bright. We paired it with a trusty leather motorcycle jacket and added the classic accessories that go with everything: a pocket watch necklace, a bright quilted bag, a knotted belt & black thighhighs and motorcycle boots. These are things almost everyone has in their wardrobe or are easy to get at many price points, making this one of our favorite - and easy! - Fall outfits.
It's no secret that we spend countless hours reading our favorite blogs. Some of our favorites are streetstyle blogs, where we get a glimpse at what people wear out into the world. In order to celebrate personal style and inspire you to recreate a look (your way, of course), we have decided to institute Take it to the Street Tuesday!
Every Tuesday, we'll pick one of our favorite street style looks and a vintage item you can use to recreate the look, because we know- of of our least favorite parts about these kinds of posts is that you can't go up and ask "Where'd you get that?", and oftentimes the pieces and their makers are not revealed. We hope you like it! - See more posts like this here.
Who says florals should be relegated to Spring? Not us! And we're even more inspired to bring them out for Fall after finding this amazing snap on Garance Doré's blog. We love Jazzmine's double floral punch, especially with the structured blazer made more feminine by the buds. The key is to have a different backdrop (light on the blazer, dark on the blouse) and scale, so it doesn't look too matchy matchy.
We love how these two vintage options would look together. The abstractness of the blazer's pattern plus the black squiggles go really well with the black background of the dress, which makes it more feminine with the sheer chiffon.
On a personal note... - I also love Jazzmine's name! I mean... how appropriate is it that she's name after a flower? Plus Berger, you know I love them Bergers! Should I change my name to Pam Berger? (Say it fast - pam-ber-ger) I might have to do a poll on Twitter...
