Our new lookbook is here! We teamed up with Greta of Greta Guide & Fashion Me Green to bring you some breezy and bold outfits with the most sustainable items of all: VINTAGE! Why is vintage more sustainable? Because you're not producing any new raw materials, and you're reusing and recycling fashion. Plus, since vintage items are now timeless, they won't go out style next season, giving you tons of mileage for years to come. And if you ever get tired of it, you can always sell it on Market Publique!
When fashion blogger Rebecca, better known as The Clothes Horse, told us she was going to be in town for New York Fashion Week, we decided to invite her to our studio to play dress-up and do a photoshoot.
The result are these amazing photos, a true collaboration between The Clothes Horse and Market Publique. We had so much fun, and I think you can tell in the photos! Most vintage items are available for sale now, so don't miss out!
The easiest way to do an outfit post? Go to a conference dedicated to fashion blogging! Not only was I lucky enough to get my outfit captured by pros, but als hang out with tons of my favorite fashion bloggers and talk about, well, what else? Fashion and the web!
Here's a few good photos of me and my blogger friends, and what wore.
Hanging out with Sammy Davis of Sammy D Vintage. Launching TODAY! Photo by Dustin Fenstermacher.
With Susie of Style Bubble. Way to wear pink and blue! I love her fearless stye. She wears things that I would never think of putting together and always looks amazing. Hands-down one of my top 5 favorite bloggers.
With new blogger friends, the boys from Pickles & Coffee. Aren't they super stylish?
I wore a dramatic long leopard print skirt from Rabbits. It's not often I am on stage, so drama was required.
Here's more about my outfit, all leopard & leotards!
The Manhattan Vintage Show was fabulous, and despite the snow on Saturday, vintage lovers trekked down to the Metropolitan Pavilion to gaze at the millions of gorgeous vintage goodies on display.
Exquisite pain aside, we had tons of fun telling people about Market Publique, introducing them to our new Full Service program (more details tomorrow!) and walking around and seeing what fabulous vintage pieces the 90+ vintage vendors around the Show had. Plus, saw the best outfits ever, and Rachel Zoe, Lynn Yaeger and many other fabulous people stopped by our booth - what more could a vintage-loving gal want?
Thank you everyone who came by! It was great to meet so many Internet friends in person! Thanks for all your support!
Here's some photos Kate took at the show. Enjoy the memories!
A shopper tries on the vintage Donald Brooks coat from Artifaktori
Gorgeous accessories at the Market Publique booth
The lucky shopper who fit into the super gorgeous patent leather Chanel gloves. Yes, of course she bought them!
I decided to play it safe in dark colors on Friday, as we had to haul a bunch of stuff to the show. I wore a vintage black cashmere sweater, a silk skirt by Lewis from Thistle & Clover, a beaded beret which the lovely Artifaktori gals gifted me, and my über stylish cash register: a crystal crusted bronze bag from Cure Thrift Shop.
On Saturday, I decided to opt for more color. I wore a Uniqlo heattech crewneck, vintage St. John Sweater vest from Market Publique, Samantha Pleet shorts (yes, I do wear these all the time!), black tights, vintage Maud Frizon shoes, vintage Monet tassel necklace, vintage Sonia Rykiel handbag from the Dossier Shop (since closed), & a vintage silk scarf from Stache.
A close-up of my cash register for the day, my vintage Sonia Rykiel handbag from the Dossier Shop.
For our latest photoshoot, now featured in the Dossier Style blog (where I will be contributing regularly), we decided to take it up a notch:
More color, more textures, more ooomph. We pulled clothes from the Dossier shop and OAK, mixed it up with one-of-a-kind vintage from Market Publique, and voilá - Keep on With the Force.
Most vintage pieces are now available for sale on Market Publique.

Even though the past two days have been absolutely gorgeous in New York (nearly 70 degrees!!), fall is upon us, and I need a new coat to celebrate the changing of the seasons. I've been searching for the perfect leopard print coat for years, because, well, who doesn't love a leopard print coat?! One thing is for sure: Pamela and I are OBSESSED with this vintage faux fur leopard print coat on Market Publique. We adore it so much that we're considering purchasing it together and working out some sort of timeshare chart.
I don't know who loves it more: Pamela, who made the adorable collage above on Polyvore.com, or me, who captured the below photo of a similar yet highly unoriginal clone at Urban Outfitters and immediately e-mailed it to Pamela. It's also over $100 more!!
We partied, shopped vintage, sipped bubbly and nibbled on cupcakes - what more could one want?!!
The shop featured items from Market Publique's Fall collection, including some hand-picked by the bloggers at Painfully Hip during their thrifting trip. We had tons of blazers, sweaters, dresses, scarves, shoes, boots, purses... plus we featured jewelry by Erica Weiner and Dirty Librarian Chains, housewares and more fashion from Cure Thrift Shop (which benefits diabetes research), and exclusive vintage pieces from Rabbits, some of which will soon be up on the site!
Bianca, from Cure Thrift Shop and Bianca Rocks Out, helped me set up the shop and also made a fun video of the event:
We snapped some photos too, for your viewing pleasure...
Shoppers browsing the vintage goodies.
Some of our vintage shoes, with deadstock vintage shoe clips by Erica Weiner, whose jewelry you can see to the side.
Cure Thrift Shop's housewares and accessories table. That spotted fur clutch is now mine! No guilt, since the fur is vintage and the purchase benefits diabetes research too!
More shoppers, including Brooke from Fashism, sipping bubbly. She made like a banding with an amazing leather skirt...
It was a super-fun bracelet made out vintage baubles and buttons, the perfect accent to my outfit. I wore it straight out of the box! Thanks Amanda!!
Like the rest of my outfit too? The vintage cropped sequin top is the one I got from Sammy Davis Vintage! The little gold vintage clutch was also my cash register - which one shopper dubbed as "the most stylish cash register I've ever seen", blush! The skirt is 3.1 Phillip Lim and the shoes are Marc by Marc Jacobs (scroll down for pic), from 9 years ago!!
With fashion bloggers Jennine, of The Coveted, and Jordana of Clutch 22. Thank you, Jennine for the awesome post about our Fashion's Night Out event! The photos she took are amazing, go look! I also like this one, which she took:

Here I am, laughing it up with Jennine. She's a lot of fun, and I get to hang out with her a bunch this NYFW... You'll see the pictures soon...Plus, a better look at my shoes and the adorable bracelet from Access Aesthetic.
Sammy (of Sammy D Vintage) was in attendance too. Since I wore one of her vintage pieces, she decided to don a few of ours: the pleated black blouse and the lipstick-red leather skirt. Doesn't she look fabulous?
