Florals may be a hit for Spring, but they're also a huge trend for Fall. Especially when the bright florals are on a dark background like gray, black, & navy, they transition perfectly when paired with a black leather jacket and sheer black tights.

We're really into the graphic prints and knee socks at Marni this season, and vintage is a much more wallet-friendly way to embrace the look. I adore velvet for winter, because it's not just festive, it's also warm, soft, and cozy. I love it paired with textured tights, with a sequin or rhinestone piece for a nice shiny / matte contrast.  

I plan to wear something velvet for New Year's Eve, to stand out in a crowd of metallics and be ready for the hug and kiss at midnight (from my hubby Jon, of course!).
