As you may know, ModCloth started selling vintage before they transitioned into vintage-inspired indie clothing. They still feature one vintage item a day on their site, but to the dismay of most, it's usually sold out by the time you see what they posted!
We decided to team up to give the people what they want: a chance to buy specially-selected ModCloth vintage pieces and to do good while at it, because proceeds will benefit Fashion Delivers. The collaboration, including a lookbook Market Publique styled and shot featuring fashion blogger Mel of Idée Geniale. Cool right?
We are auctioning off not one, but twenty-two one of a kind items, each of which will remain up for auction over the course of ten days. Get inspired by our special Market Publique beach-themed lookbook, as modeled by the vintage-loving Brooklyn-based Mel from Idée Geniale, and bid on the one-of-a-kind pieces that catch your eye starting Monday, June 14th at 7am.
To make this momentous occasion even more meaningful, the proceeds over each minimum bid go to Fashion Delivers, a nonprofit that donates clothing to victims of natural disasters. Fashion Delivers will also be hosting, with Mel as a blogger panelist, the event “Pay it Fashion Forward” on June 15th in which five industry leaders will be honored for their positive influence on their communities and the environment.
