This past weekend I got the oppertunity to visit A Current Affair, the LA based, semi annual vintage pop up located in the Cooper Building in Downtown LA. It was a warehouse of vintage heaven containing mounds of vintage jewelry, sequins, belts, tees, beautiful time period pieces and of course vintage designer wares.
I had a great time strolling through the 4 rows of fabulous vintage vendors. They had an open bar full of fresh cocktails, a curated selection of styles by Jen Rosero and DJ Marion Hodges from KCRW playing the best shopping tunes you've ever heard.
I thought I would highlight my favorite vendors which all caught my eye right away. If you ever have a chance to make it out, it's worth your while!

The first booth that really caught my eye was The Goods! and what did it was this mannequin right above. The necklace, the amazingness that is that 90s blouse......it's everything I've ever wanted in my closet. As I ventured deeper into the booth I found myself loving the stacks of chunky jewelry, vintage rocker tees and her whole collection ever so elegantly arranged by color. An impressively curated shop and selection.

Continuing my journey down the first row I stopped dead in my tracks at the site of Connie Parente Vintage Accessories.....I mean, judging by the photos above how could you not? Not one, but 4 cabinets full of vintage jewelry and 2 tables full of cases of, you guessed it...more jewelry. I had to force myself to walk away otherwise I would have spent my entire life savings at that booth. Connie has jewelry from all eras, shapes and sizes. I was particularly impressed with her turqouise selection, which was never ending and quite frankly, I never wanted it to end.

Right across from Connie was another fave, Regeneration Vintage. RV specializes in vintage clothing and accessories from the Victorian period through the 1980's with designer items as well. What caught my eye about Regeneration Vintage's booth was the 3 items hanging in the wind (pictured above); all different styles, all different colors and textures and all different eras but all of them I loved. I thought to myself, a booth that has 3 completely different items that I all like equally must have something good going on in their little booth. Of course they did and RV owner Kari was a pleasure to talk with and has a great eye for vintage.

One of my personal faves, Adored Vintage was also selling. Adored Vintage has the most amazing time period pieces and some of the most elegant dresses I've ever seen. I came by as girls were playing dress up in their booth, prancing around in fun girly dresses having a great time. Truly a great shop and so much fun running into her!

Last but not least we have Fashion By Robert Black who is actually based in downtown Scottsdale, AZ. He specializes in vintage red carpet couture, special occasion designer pieces, dynamic daywear, exceptional accessories and historic treasures, all in like new condition. Passing by his booth I knew right away there was something special he had that no one else did with his simplistic white booth that really let the clothes really speak to you. His collection of vintage designer clothes was incredible and extremely impressive. Above were my favorite pieces including vintage Versace velvet printed pants, a silver sequins mini dress and a Louis Vuitton wool pea coat. I pretty much left Roberts booth depressed because I couldn't have his whole collection but I plan on investing in a few pieces when the time is right.
