Whenever I go to Austin, Feathers is my absolute first stop. The collection is excellently curated with affordable yet special pieces that are sure to stand out from the crowd and start up a conversation.

For example, last time I went to South by Southwest, I bought this crazy cropped red linen shirt with an appliquéd panther on the front. And it paid for itself many times over in contacts when I wore it to the Tumblr party and people kept commenting on it - a perfect segway into telling them about Market Publique, which had launched barely a week before. Ah-mah-zing!

I bought tons and tons more things, including an atomic print strapless dress in orange, black and metallic, orange shoes to match, a tiger print Diane von Furstenberg overnight bag and so many more items - the list is so long it's quite embarrasing! But then again, I don't make it to Austin that often, so better make the trip worth it!

Still, no matter how much I clean them out, fabulous pieces seem to appear out of thin air to refill the racks and shelves. Which is why I stop on my last day on each trip too!
