Featured Store - Prototype, Austin, Texas

Prototype Vintage
1700 1/2 S. Congress (Entrance on Milton)
Austin, TX
Prototype is one of those stores that you wish you lived in. Especially because of the amazing furniture selection and the super-rad closet you would have if you did indeed live there.
Walk in to find carefully curated mid-century modern furniture, kitchy-yet-cool home decor, and racks and racks of fabulous vintage clothing. Most of the clothing is merchandised by color, or by item type, so it's easy to find a cute purple dress or a red polka dot romper, for example.
We stopped here during our New Media Fashion boutique crawl and I did some damage: fringed sweater, white cutout romper, floral 90s dress... all of which I didn't even knew I was looking for but now could never live without!

I wish I had this Eames chair in my living room right now... next time I'm renting a U-Haul and driving back to New York!

More amazing vintage furniture and home decor from Prototype. That chair reminds me of some nice swedish clogs...

The red corner - filled with bright and cheery vintage items.

The clothes selection is fantastic. I know you are lusting over that denim bustier now...

Plus the racks are nicely full without being overcrowded, ensuring you will find something awesome to wear without feeling overwelmed!
