Happy Birthday to Me! Plus Meet My Vintage Trike, Part Deux

It's my birthday!!
Today is the real day, but I'm celebrating it tomorrow with champagne, cupcakes and vintage at the Market Publique Pop-Up Shop - please come!
As an early birthday present, Jon bought me a vintage tricycle, which you met here. That tricycle helped me win a TopShop bike at a contest run by Chictopia, which you can see here.
Well, the sad news is that the tricycle did not make it to my birthday...
Last Monday, when I was coming back from yoga, I noticed it was GONE. M.I.A. Pooooooof! As I hovered closer to the pole where I had it locked up, I saw my chain and my now-clipped lock. The bastards!!!
I called the police and filed a report. They will be on the lookout. Whomever decided to steal a vintage tricycle is not only mean, but an idiot:
A) It's vintage, so there's not that many like it... much less in the same geographical area.
B) Who the fuck rides a tricycle except for me and some lil' ol' grandmas?
Well. I did what everyone else would do: I tweeted furiously. And, yeah, I cried a little (so, what?)
The search is still on for vintage trike #1 - which I will now name Gunny (in honor of Jon's old cat, and well, because it's GONE-y). If you see it around town, please punch the rider in the face. Then tweet me the location. Before punching the rider in the face, just make sure I'm not the rider... that would be bad.
As the two rational human beings that we sometimes are, Jon and I scoured Craigslist to see if anyone was trying to sell my now-stolen trike, and we found a very similar one.
After much squinting, we knew it was not Gunny: It had gears, the gears were covered, a bigger seat, a smaller basket, and the Columbia logo in a serif font... Sigh.
The happy ending to the story?JON SURPRISED ME WITH THAT VINTAGE TRIKE! So I got, not one, but TWO vintage trikes for my birthday. Proof, again, that he is THE BEST husband ever. Ta-dah! Meet vintage trike #2. I will name it: The Avenger.

Meet my vintage tricycle, #2: The Avenger!
