Mostly Moved In!
Market Publique just got a new office last week, and we’ve been busy bees moving in our stock, lights, backdrops, desks, supplies, etcetera. We stayed in Williamsburg, so the commute is non-existent and we get to eat Bliss and Chai for lunch all the time.
Since I didn’t have a desk, I got a vintage one at Junk, along with a pink vinyl upholstered chair. I spent most of the weekend under or around the desk, as you can see, paniting it white.
It’s been a busy week, but we’re finally mostly moved in. Here are our “before” photos. We hope to have the “after” ones soon. We share the office with an amazing set of people: Jake, an amazing painter from Parsons; Irina, his girlfriend and very talented motion graphics designer; and Keiko, a super-nice art director of a stockphoto agency. Plus we’ve already met some of their friends, like Charlie and Chito, and they rock endlessly. It’s going to be so much fun!

Painting my vintage desk white. Jake’s paintings in the background, putting me to shame.

My desk and shelf, all dry, white and nice; my pink vinyl chair making friends with my Antik Batik bag; my computer, at whom I stare at all day everyday; a yellow jewerly tree and some neon green shelves we got at Ikea that still need to be installed.

Some of the more contained Market Publique stock, Jon’s books of nerdery, and my fabulous vintage tiger-striped DvF bag I use to put my styling gear.
