Thrifting at the Austin City-Wide Garage Sale w Santoki Vintage

While I was in Austin for SXSW, I met up with Zarla of Santoki vintage for some good company, vintage shopping and yummy food.

It was so much fun to meet Zarla in person, and even more fun to try on hats, skirts and jewerly together and dig through piles and piles of vintage to discover the treasures. The photos got better as the day went by, so allow me to tell the story in reverse...

After much digging and buying, we decided to revitalize with some tartines at Blue Dahlia - Avocado and shrimp and ricotta, honey and figs! Yum!

I really loved this cocktail hat with poppies on it... It's super whimsical, but I wasn't sure if I was going to wear it, so I decided to pass. So no, that was not part originally part of my outfit...

We found this amazing key fob / charm thing. We decided it should be worn on a belt, but it would be equally as cute on a chain as a necklace... Zarla modeled it for me so I could see it in action.

Don't you love it? I left it on hold, kept on shopping and kept on thinking about it too... so after a while I just went back and got it! I have never seen anything like it and thought I wouldn't see something like it again, so why not?
